Roof coverings during their service life undergo the effects of many unfavourable factors from the external environment. Changes in the surrounding temperature cause deformations in both the roofing material and the base on which it is installed. The ability to withstand such deformations is the most important characteristic of roofing material and this depends on the raw materials used in the manufacturing process.
APP MEMBRANES
All our membranes are APP provide to the compound excelent UV resistance and high temperature stability. Their limitation is that they are less elastic and flexible at low temperatures, which doesn't apply to our climate.
TORCH-ON APPLICATION
1. The surface must be cleaned of dust, debris, grease, leaves and should not have gaps and cracks or other irregularities. Surface must be treated with primer before installation of waterproofing or insulating material.
2. During installation, material and support must be heated by torch, on all width of the roll. Additionally the area of the overlapping must be heated. During proper installation material sticks to the support and on the lap should show a bit of bitumen.
3. On multi-layer systems, following layers must be applied fully bonded onto the first layer in a way to obtain longitudinal and trans-versal joints on a staggered position with respect to the fi rst layer.
4. Side overlaps should be about 10cm, while head overlaps about 15 cm.
5. Remove mineral granules at head overlap with a heated trowel to ensure proper overlap adhesion.
Italiana Membrane, established in 1988, is one of the main producers of waterproofing construction materials in Italy. The constant technological development of the manufacturing lines has allowed Italiana Membrane to extend its range of products.
